What's Your Story: Curt

Please share some of your background:
I started out as a self taught draftsman who has drawn everything from firing zones for naval ships, houses, commercial buildings to precast concrete, and steel. I earned a MA in History and I now teach world history to 10th graders and I adjunct teaching US history at the local university.

When did you start reading Mitch Rapp?
A retired Colonel who worked at the Pentagon and the White House in the late 90’s and early 2000’s told me that the detail in Vince Flynn’s books were so real to life and thought I would like them.  He loaned me Memorial Day, I started out reading Ludlum and Clancy, but I became hooked on Rapp!

Which book is your favorite?
Transfer of Power. I studied Presidential history and I had just taken a personal tour of the west wing so my mind became alive with the action like I was there in the unfolding story. What a thrill of a read.

Do you have a favorite character and why?
Of course, Mitch, but I enjoy reading about the whole Orion Team and their families. I am devastated when any of them dies.

If you could be any character in Vince's novels, who would it be and why?
There is not much room for a short fat and bald good guy, in political thriller novels, but I would like to be a character like Milt Adams (ToP) supporting Mitch with some quirks to keep the story a little more unpredictable.

Is there anything else you would like to share relating to Mitch Rapp, Vince or Kyle?
Thank you for taking me along on such exciting and heart-thumping adventures.
